THANK YOU!
Hi all,
We wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you for attending the ETL GLOBAL UK Conference, Innovation with Purpose. Your participation made it an incredibly successful and memorable event. Now we’re back in the office, we thought we’d share a quick roundup of the highlights from our time together…
– MORNING SESSION –
THE UK
UPDATE
We started the conference with a warm welcome from Sara and Peter Brassington, who also gave us an update from the UK. This was followed by an International update from Dr. Christian Gorny, an introduction to ETL Ireland by Master Partner, Anthony Casey, and an ETL UK Legal Update from David Jones. Finally, Ian Saunders delivered a company secretarial compliance update.

– MORNING SESSION –
INNOVATIVE
TECHNOLOGY
After a short break (and a sweet treat), we began our Innovative Technologies section, starting with Dan Holloway, who spoke about cyber resilience. Sunil Shah then introduced Power BI and how it can turn data into actionable insights. James Akrigg captivated us with AI’s current capabilities and future developments. We ended the session with the crypto experts at WRS, Joshua Chinn, Richard Irving, Liam Ben Ari, and David Jones, as they discussed the impact and future of cryptocurrency.
– AFTERNOON SESSION –
PEOPLE
OF THE NETWORK
Following a lovely lunch, we launched into an afternoon focused on the heart of the network – our people. After weeks of intricate editing, research and planning we were able to demonstrate the potential of VR through a virtual journey around the world, stopping off at the ETL GLOBAL firms in the room with us.
This led into Sara Brassington showcasing the potential of VR in enhancing our onboarding and training processes. Whilst on the topic of training, Peter Brassington outlined the exclusive CPD training courses available to our network members.
Following this, we enjoyed a session on OKRs, led by Lawrence Walsh and Roger Longden from There Be Giants. They spoke extensively about building cohesive company cultures, with insights from mgr’s Nick Muir and Gayatri Patel.

– AFTERNOON SESSION –
SUSTAINABLE
PRACTICES
We ended the conference on a high note with even more outstanding speakers from across our network! Victoria Welsh from Laytons ETL introduced the firm’s Immigration Practice, and how it can support the ETL Network. James Gosling and Jason Reynolds from AJ Chambers provided key insights on Recruitment and Acquisition.
And finally, Andrew Copping led our panel discussion on investment in succession, covering everything from acquisition & integration with Jon Rees to identifying successors with Richard Rosenburg and Harry Waterman. Closing the discussion, Cathy Revis & Fiona Illingworth answered questions from Andrew on nurturing employee value proposition & company culture. Andrew wrapped up with a delightful poem that added a touch of Northern humor to the conference, perfectly capturing the camaraderie across the ETL family.
Once again, thank you for your active participation and engagement. Your contributions made this conference truly special. If you have any photos or videos from your time with us, please can we ask you upload them to our Google Drive which can be found here: ETL Conference Photos.
